I get it, stripping down in front of a stranger with a big camera in your face doesn’t typically fall into a comfort zone. But, I am gunna let ya in on a few little secrets….
- “Once I get more confidence I will do it” Confidence is not required! It’s actually the perfect experience to boost your self esteem. Roll your eyes at me all you want, but after shooting hundreds of women & being shot myself I can tell you that you DO NOT NEED all the confidence in the world, boudoir will give you a jump start in finding that confidence.
- “But I don’t have a reason to do this.” A special occasion is again, not required! While popular for brides, boudoir is for any stage in your life. It is a liberating experience that needs no large occasion other than because you want/need it!
- “I am no model girl!” So what if you are not a model! This is why you hire a photographer that specializes in boudoir; it’s ALL about posing & it’s the photographers job to pose you. You are never expected to know how to pose for your session.
- Keeping it real, this is a luxury experience, & luxury is an investment. A boudoir experience is not something you simply price shop for. Do your research, love their style, vibe with them & invest in yourself. This is not something to skimp out on, a bad boudoir experience would truly suck and potentially do the exact opposite of what it’s designed to do.
- Talk about life changing! This is an experience you do for yourself. It’s a step towards body acceptance, a way to liberate yourself and it can be life changing. Pick the right photographer, have an open + positive mind and this is pure magic.
