Someone I have admired since the third grade is making big moves & inspiring me even more. Taking her lived experiences & the power of vulnerability to create a much needed space for women. Her drive and passion for helping others is unmatched as I watch her advocate and liberate herself knowing she has so much to offer others as her superpower. She has been in my corner for most of my life and I want to champion her mission as I believe in her and power of what she is building. Up To Earth is nature-based life coaching with a specialty in late-diagnosed ADHD women, those in recovery, and anyone exhausted from performing a life that doesn’t fit.
Give us an introduction
“I am not sure why I have trouble with this question/prompt. I suppose it’s because there is so much to know about me, and I worry about what I will share or not share; that worry, in itself, tells you something about me. I am constantly discovering more about myself and evolving, learning new things daily, which means this question can never be fully answered. What about me do I want you and your blog readers to know? What do I want the world to know about me? I grew up in Chadron, Nebraska, a small community in northwestern Nebraska sustained largely by agriculture and a state college. Apart from that, not much is happening there. Are there any notable things about Chadron? It’s home to the only stoplight for 100 miles in any direction. Chadron State College has produced professional D2 football players, including Don Beebe and Danny Woodhead. It is also home to the largest museum dedicated to the history of fur trading. I moved away for college and traveled through Middle America, living in Wyoming, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Nebraska, and then back to Wyoming. There, I found a job working for the state government, in my field of study. I have been married to my husband, Brad, since 2012. We got married the same day I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resource Management. At 10 am I wore a black gown and at 6 p.m., I wore a white gown. We have lived in Rock Springs since then, and have the best dog in the world, Luna. My hobbies include exploring the outdoors and studying living things, and ecosystems. I’ve always been captivated by life, which inspires me to consistently reflect on its interconnections and patterns.”
How/why did you become a life coach?
Since I was a teenager, I have felt called to help others. I struggled with depression and suicidal ideation, and I never wanted anyone to feel the way that I felt. Fast forward to 2025, I had beaten an alcohol addiction and got sober alongside my husband, whom I nearly lost to alcohol. Despite five years of sobriety, 13 years of marriage and a comfortable life, I found myself once again in a state of depression. My passion for living had dulled, nothing seemed to spark joy and I felt like I was trapped. I desperately needed a change, so I did something I almost never do: I sought help for myself. After a few sessions with a psychiatrist, I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 39. That diagnosis shook me. I always felt different from my siblings, as if no one understood or truly knew me. After learning that I had ADHD, I did a deep dive to learn everything that I could about it. I had always thought of it as something the hyperactive and obnoxious boys in school had, but I knew nothing about what ADHD actually is and how it silently shaped who I am as a person. ADHD is a neurological, psychological, physiological condition that affects the functioning of the nervous system. It is often missed in women because it presents differently. The hyperactivity for me, is in my brain. No one can see it, but others experience it as wisdom beyond my years, unique perspectives, and a unique way of being.
In order to break out of my depression, I needed several things. First, medication to help balance neurotransmitters and improve my capacity to process the new information about myself, and second, I needed purpose outside of my 9-5. Which brought me back to my calling, to heal. And so, I took a leap of faith and brought Up to Earth into the world. Up to Earth is nature-based coaching for women who are transforming their lives. I offer support, introspection, and help women uncover who they are when they remove external expectations and obligations from the equation.
Who can really benefit from working with you?
Women who are ready to reclaim their lives, start living authentically, and pursue big dreams that have been collecting dust while they poured their energy into other things. Women who feel invisible, stuck, unseen, or unfulfilled and are ready to change the narrative.
Most rewarding part of being a life coach?
The most rewarding part of this is witnessing the wins. Watching women step into confidence and hearing about how they are showing up differently in their lives and living in ways that make them proud of themselves.
