When it comes to your Branding photoshoot, don’t forget those everyday items. The simple tools or creature comforts that you can’t live/work without. Your branding images are like your TV commercial and chance to highlight and showoff everything that makes you proud of your brand.
Are Props Necessary for a Branding Photoshoot?
What I love about a Branding photoshoot is all the personal details we can incorporate to help you stand out. It’s the flare that separates your session from just headshots. Props aren’t necessary, necessary, but they are very important and and vital to the success of the message you want to convey to your audience. From outfits that express your mood, showing off your process/products to communicating your mission, branding is designed to highlight your vibe. So, besides some of the obvious things to bring, keep your mind open to the following ideas.
Props To Bring To Your Branding Photoshoot
TOOLS
What are the tools you use daily? Take a look at your desk or workspace. Probably your phone, laptop and planner. Camera, sketchbook or cookbook…. Don’t forget software or app tools you use regularly we can highlight on your devices. Those might be the obvious tools for your Branding Photography session so don’t forget tools that are in the background. Think books, headphones because you listen to podcasts, your notebook with your lists to stay organized or pictures around your workspace to keep you motivated.
CREATURE COMFORTS
Tools are a must for your Branding photoshoot because you can’t do your job without them, but what about the little things that help getting the job done easier? Your favorite mug, music, snack/drink/candy, gel pens, mouse pad with your pet or plants. You get what I am putting down here right? The little things you love & that will show off your personality to your audience.
ACCESSORIES
Ok, these are all accessories or props so let’s think about wearable accessories. Your wardrobe is a whole blog in itself so let’s keep it simple here; your jewelry, shoes, sunglasses and hats. This is a great way to incorporate your brand colors and highlight your personality in your branding session. Show off your logo here, dress up or down for the vibe you want to give off.
