The really amazing thing about being a Denver boudoir photographer is the fact that my clients come to me in their vulnerability.
All of the Denver Boudoir clients come to me with different levels of vulnerability. I respect & appreciate all levels because any level is brave. Some clients really open about their inspiration/reason for a boudoir experience & being able to provide that space is unmatched. Shooting boudoir for over 7 years now has opened my eyes to so much. Things I have been guilty of & probably will continue be guilty of as I learn, uncover & understand. Take Fatphobic language; words like flattering, smaller, problem areas etc. Now, I am not saying these are crime worthy words but I do want to bring attention to how they are used, specifically in the Boudoir community.
Body positive & self love are everywhere (which I love) but with that popularity comes the over & misuse. Using terms like flattering , smaller and problem areas are micro aggressions to fat people. Fat people do not need to wear flattering clothes, appear smaller or need to hide their “problem areas.” My passion to provide a safe space for all bodies means I am also passionate about being aware, learning & implementing lessons into the experience I offer my Denver Boudoir clients & putting their vulnerabilities first along with showing myself the same love + heal my own relationship with my body
I can tell you how epic a Denver Boudoir experience is with me, or you could read through the 90+ 5 star Google reviews like this one……
“My shoot experience with Mackenzie was absolutely incredible and honestly if I could do the whole thing again next week, I totally would. In the time leading up to the photoshoot she was very easy to get in contact with to answer any of my questions, and the pre-shoot consult undoubtedly elevated the whole experience even more. From the second I walked into the studio Mackenzie and the makeup artist made me feel so welcome, and by the end it felt like we were longtime friends. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mackenzie- do yourself a favor and take the dive into a boudoir experience with Blue Flame!” – Lady J
