A Colorado Maternity session with all the warm tones, textures and glow.
I know, I know – most Colorado Maternity sessions take place outside with a colorful dress and stunning landscape views. It will never get old, but how about something a little different? Something a little understated.
It’s no secret I adore studio photography. Shooting outdoors is always a treat, but the simplicity + authenticity of shooting in studio is where I thrive. Call it a Type A trait, but I love having control during my sessions. *shoulder shrug* Having a vision, creating the set and letting the rest flow is where the magic happens for me.
Wherever I cad add texture in my images I will. Especially love to mix textures, the more contrasting the better. Just like in interior design, having contrasting textures next to each other adds visual interest and draws attention. However, I prefer all the attention go directly to whomever I am capturing. So for this Colorado Maternity session with Tia I didn’t want the textures to take away from her so we kept a neutral, monotone color palette. She is so stunning though, no matter the color palette your eyes would still go to her, am I right?
Less will always be more for me and keeping my Colorado Maternity sessions minimal and effortless is important. Letting the focus fall on the mom to be. Nothing extra, nothing over the top wall while being comfortable in the studio.

When thinking of booking your session we want the bump bumpin’ while you are still comfortable posing + standing for a little while, so I recommend scheduling between 28 and 36 weeks. Of course everyone is different so please contact me as soon as possible to set up a consultation to book your session.
