On average, I show between 60-70 final Colorado Boudoir Photos to my clients during their reveal. This means lots of variety when picking their favorites. It never fails, we start the slideshow and not even halfway through I hear “this is going to be so hard to pick!” Every. Single. Client.

Right after the slideshow there can be a range of emotions from shock to happy tears. This particular session, she confessed to me after seeing her images that she couldn’t believe how many of them she loved. She was convinced going in that she would probably only like a handful of her Colorado Boudoir photos. (have I mentioned that I love proving my clients wrong? In the best way possible of course!)

To be front row to a woman who came in very nervous, realizing how much of a smoke show she is is priceless. Someone pinch me that this is my career!

“I can’t believe that is me!” Another reaction I get a lot. Seeing yourself in this capacity, especially if you had yourself convinced you “aren’t sexy” before hand, can be overwhelming. Every client, every session, every reaction is different. I shoot everyone different and have learned to let the energy flow organically. I don’t want my expectations to put pressure on my clients to how they should react or feel. This experience is not about me in the slightest, it’s 100% about them and I want the whole thing, from start to finish to be authentic. I will be your couch & cheerleader the entire way, that part I can’t help 😉

Colorado Boudoir photos are meant to push you out of your comfort zone. I expect you to arrive to the studio with a few nerves and I encourage you to embrace those feelings. I know those feelings will melt away and make your image reveal that much sweeter.

“All of the things I was worried about don’t even matter.” Yup – that right there is the jackpot! That liberating feeling of seeing proof that the things you had worked yourself up about, don’t matter. That you are SO MUCH MORE than those little things that seemed so big at one point.
