What’s the number one thing you look for when you’re searching for the perfect boudoir photographer? Is it their style, price, mission, personality?

If you’ve been looking for a boudoir photographer you’ve probably realized that it can be a little overwhelming at times and I’m here to help you in your search with my 5 best tips on finding the perfect one!

1. SKILL + STYLE – scour their portfolio, you don’t want just anyone to photograph your session. Their website + social medias should be full of their work so you get a good idea of their vibe & skill. Does their work represent all bodies? Is their work consistent? Is there a variety in poses? The right photographer will speak to you through their portfolio & you should be picky. (you can view mine here.)

2. REPUTATION – boudoir is a vulnerable + intimate experience so doing research is important. Read reviews about others’ experiences to ensure there are no red flags.

3. WHY – Does their mission behind shooting boudoir line up with your why? This is where you connect & become comfortable with your boudoir photographer!

4. EXPERIENCE – What kind of process/experience do they offer? Are they full service helping you prep for your session, makeup/hair, luxury products, open communication, or turn & burn with a hands-off approach? What experience do you want/need?

5. VALUE – Boudoir photography is a luxury and I won’t sugarcoat that this is an investment. A cheap boudoir photographer is a red flag but everyone will value this experience differently. When you really want something & you understand the value of it, you budget accordingly. Only you can know what this experience is worth to you.

I hope these little tips help you with your search for a boudoir photographer. If you’d love to talk more about what I offer inquire here! (I don’t bite) I would love to go over all the details & some more information to see if we’d be a great fit!
