What is a Boudoir Reveal anyway? We did the prepping, the shooting and then it’s the BIG reveal.
The Boudoir Reveal is when you come back to the studio, usually just an hour after we shoot, to view your final images and place your product order. Yea way, you see your final gallery of images just ONE HOUR after shooting. While you take yourself out to lunch, maybe at my favorite Chuey FU’s up the street, I edit your images.
So, you worked up an appetite following all my pose instructions, enjoyed some tacos + maybe a margarita(s) to celebrate doing the damn thang and now you are back in the studio seated in front of the TV. It’s Boudoir Reveal time. (make sure to play the video in this bog)
For some, this is another set of nerves and that is OK. For many, it can be overwhelming seeing yourself in this capacity. Seeing yourself in a light you may have never seen yourself. Kinda like looking in the mirror after a big hair change, it can be a lot. This is also ok. For most, it’s an emotional seven minutes during the 60ish image slideshow. Laugh, cry, clap, release, soak it in in silence – whatever feels right for you in the moment. Just like while shooting, there is no pressure to be or act a certain way. It’s your boudoir experience, as long as you are present, there is no wrong way.
The Boudoir Reveal kicks off with a slideshow with music to show you off to yourself. This time is for you to blow your own mind. No pressure of what others might think, no need to decide your favorites – just a time and space to sit back and enjoy this big step you took outside your comfort zone. It’s a big deal! You are a BIG deal!
Next comes, and yes everyone says it…”This is going to be so hard to choose!” On average a final gallery has about 65 images, so I don’t expect you to fall in love with every. single. image. (But if you do – hell ya!) We will go through all the images in small groups, at your pace, to select your favorites. Everyone’s process here is different so we will do what works best for you till you give me the final answer.
The Boudoir Reveal is also when you place your product order. The studio has samples of everything offered for you to see, feel and experience in person. The Boudoir Reveal is that top of the mountain feeling; you did something, that probably at one point, you didn’t think you could do.
